I found her in the rain today looking so lovely and dewy. The cold and wet could not dampen her radiance and glow. She is a David Austin rose, and fittingly, she is named 'The Endeavour.' ✨
When I got home from Portland, she was in her third flush this season. 'Plum Perfect' 💜👌
Isn't it interesting how memories of a scent can conjure up emotions? I can still smell the light, delicate fragrances of fresh lavender and scented geranium mixed with the heady perfume of David Austin roses and the slight aromatic sweetness of the clematis in this wedding bouquet from earlier this summer. The scent was intoxicating and it was a joy to create this bouquet. Scent can surely put you under her spell! Thank you @michelleandyasmin for bringing me back and capturing the super vibrant, color-saturated berry tones in this lush and romantic, garden-style bouquet.
Dahlias for miles! Or what seems like miles anyways 😆... Scrolling through some pics from the @swanislanddahlias dahlia festival this past weekend in Canby, Oregon and I'm trying to decide what varieties I should add for next year. So many to choose and it's so hard narrowing it down! Pictured here are an unknown (oops), Crichton Honey, Groovy, Totally Tangerine, Blah Blah Blah, Lora Ashley, and All That Jazz. What's on your wish list?
Here is some luscious late summer flower eye candy for a flower workshop from @wittefarm with @nettle_textiles. There is nothing quite like roaming around a beautiful flower farm with your flower friends during a flower workshop, bouquet in hand, snipping whatever inspires you. I think I died and went to heaven.
It's been such a dreamy flower trip through Oregon this past weekend and this week. I've met some of the most amazing, kind, and beautiful people in this gorgeous place. I was beyond thrilled to attend textile dying and bouquet workshops with @nettle_textiles at the loveliest piece of heaven at Witte Flower Farm @wittefarm last weekend. Thank you everyone for such a memorable and wonderful day. 💗
More blooms from the new and small, but SO magnificent rose plants! A lovely Coco Loco bloom and a sweet Carding Mill bud make a nice pairing. Mixing well with Cantaloupe Echinacea, Violet Cup and Saucer Vine, a dark leaf Heuchera, and Dusty Miller. I think I'm in love with this color palette.
Too pretty not to share a photo of these Lady of Shallot roses. They're going to be so pretty in Autumn arrangements 🍂 I took the plunge this year and invested in many old fashioned and heirloom garden rose varieties to use in wedding work, but it's torture waiting for the blooms to get fuller and produce more. When you plant them, you're supposed to wait a few years before you start to seriously cut from them - they need to mature and you don't want to hurt the rose plants. I've had a few other favorites that I planted and I'll share those as they continue to bloom. Only good things for those who wait ✨
